well, i was thinking of NCOC this morning when i woke up.
I think Sir Weiye is indeed a great officer,
i learned some different ways of leadership styles from him.
he is able to control a group which turns out to be some elites,
while on the other hand able to gain respect.
maybe that's the reason why nan hua corp is doing better and better.
then, come to think of it.
for my past 3 years in stjohn i was always so competitive.
in sec one, i fight to gain snr's good impression of me.
come sec 2, i fight to try to get into training dept, always so competitive, whether in compteams or just some normal activity.
then come this year, i began to realise that what's the point?
afterall we're all serving the corp as one body right?
for every camp, there will always be some awards to be given like best trainers and trainees.
in ncoc's case, best dept best company.
okay, no dobut that will give everyone a target to work towards to push themselves,
but, i think,
there shouldn't be any awards for best dept or trainers.
Senior NCOs.
HQ side.
Combat side.
aren't we all working together in hope of getting the best results of the camp?
then why those best dept or best trainers?
we all have different leadership styles, which all produce different kind of cadets.
how isit ever possible to judge like this?
i would say its just rather a test of popularity, afterall not all seniors are fair and impartial.
